FAQ
Applicants must meet ALL the following conditions:
- Must be a graduate from Alpharetta Tamil School or a current senior at Alpharetta Tamil School with a minimum of final two years at ATS.
- Must be a senior at a high school in Georgia going to pursue a college/ associate degree.
- Be enrolled to attend an accredited college or university during the fall of the academic year as a full-time student pursuing their first undergraduate degree.
- Applicants must have a minimum 3.3 cumulative grade point average (GPA) by the end of the prior semester.
Three scholarships, $1000 each will be awarded to three applicants.
The scholarship is given for only one (1) time for the first academic year, that is during the freshman year.
Yes, scholarships are earmarked for tuition, books, lodging or meal costs.
You must submit the completed application form through online inclusive of the following documents.
- Current Transcript from the high school showing the GPA until the fall semester in senior year.
- Recommendation letter from one reference who is not a family member and/or relative, could be the counselor, teacher or any one from an organization the student is involved with.
- Supporting documents if any like proof of volunteering, service hours, award letters etc.
Yes, you need to submit an essay following the prompt and directions and word limit. The prompt will be posted when the online application is available.

You will be notified in April and the awardees will be honored at the year end during the annual day celebrations at ATS.
