Dear Parents, Students, Teachers and Volunteers,
We hope you all enjoyed watching ATS Pongal Function Yesterday. Thanks to all the volunteers, students and parents who worked tirelessly to make this event a big success. For those who missed watching it, you can go to ATS YouTube channel and watch it. The show came out so well! Thank You!
With that happiness, I would like to share some fantastic news with you all. As you all know, our ATS Graduates from Forsyth County School System have been receiving one High school credit since the 2018-19 academic year. We want our Fulton County students to get that benefit too. With that in mind, ATS has been consistently working with the Fulton County School System for the past few years and we finally made it happen. Starting from this academic year, the Fulton County School System is honoring our Tamil Education by providing One Academic Credit for students graduating from our school. This is one of the ATS biggest milestones.
To get this credit, students must study in our school for 3 years from 6th grade to 8th grade at ATS. This one credit can be used towards their foreign language requirement to graduate from their high school. It can be in any high school under the Fulton County School System. Existing ATS Students and ATS Alumni who are in High School can earn the credit. We will arrange a Zoom meeting and go over the steps to follow, so all of them can be informed properly and make use of this benefit.
On behalf of ATS, I would like to pass my sincere thanks to Mr. Anbu Vincent, Counselor and Biliteracy Coordinator of ATS for the outstanding efforts in making this happen and Dr. Raja Nicholas who initiated this process couple of couple of years back. I extend my thanks to all our School Teachers, Associate Teachers and all Volunteers for their continuous time and effort. We could have not achieved this remarkable milestone without everyone’s effort. Thanks Again!
